Player Data

Brenton Parchment plays for the Jamaica at the first class level and has represented the West Indies in both Test and ODIs. As an under-19 cricketer, he led the West Indies Under-19 team to the first ever ODI series win against England. In turn, he also scored a fifty in each of the ODIs, but failed to convert a single one into a hundred. In fact, he started playing first class cricket in 1999-2000, but it was not until the 2004-05 season that he scored his first ton. He was also chosen for the West Indian cricket academy and was chosen for the Most Disciplined Cricketer award, before really spiralling into good form in the 2006-07 season, when he hit a couple of centuries to end the season, also managing an average of more than 60.

This propelled him into getting selected for the National team, and he made his ODI debut in the third match of the series against Zimbabwe. He opened the innings for the team and scored only fifteen, but went on to play another ODI and scored 25. His Test debut came against the South Africans at Durban, where his team was blown away by the opponents, suffering a huge defeat of an innings and 100 runs.
