Player Data

Abhishek Nayar is an all-rounder who represents Mumbai in first-class cricket. He has played for Mumbai, Mumbai Cricket Association Presidents XI, India Green and has also been a part of the national team for the tour to West Indies in 2009.

Nayar's first-class debut came against Tamil Nadu in 2005 and since then he has been a crucial cog for Mumbai as a right-arm medium pacer. He contributed vitally towards Mumbai’s successful Ranji campaign in 2006. The aggressive batsman scored a massive 152 against Karachi Urban in the Mohammad Nissar Trophy. In early 2008, he was picked by Mumbai for the Indian T20 league's inaugural season. In the 2008-09 season finale of the Ranji Trophy he made a vital 99 that guided Mumbai to its 38th triumph. In 2011, he was bagged by Punjab for the fourth season of Indian T20 league. Two years later, he was auctioned off to Pune for a staggering sum. But in 2014 auction, he earned nowhere the same price and was bagged by Rajasthan for Rs. 1 crore.
