Virat Kohli became the first Indian to score 4000 runs against England and became the fastest to 16000 International runs by Asian player.
Virat Kohli became the fastest batter to reach International 16000 runs in Asia today. He achieved this milestone in 340 innings, surpassing the previous record of 353 innings held by Sachin Tendulkar. He got to this record in Third and Final ODI against England in Ahmedabad.
He also completed 4000 runs against England in International cricket. He has 4000 runs against Most Teams including Australia, Sri Lanka, and England. He shares this record with Ricky Ponting who also has 4000 runs against England, India, and South Africa.
